The role of Instrumentation Designer is to carry out day-to-day Instrumentation engineering and design activities in an assigned project.
The Designer reports functionally to the Department Manager and operationally to one or more Lead Engineers / Lead Designer.
Understanding the technical requirements of the project, standards are crucial.
Technical Skills:
Assist the senior designer in Instrumentation design activities by timely developing the drawings as per project and company quality standards.
Ability to Analyze & understand Client requirements
Ability to develop Bills of Materials.
SPI, PDS, PDMS, E3D, SP3D Modeling or 2D Drafting.
Installation layouts (Instrument Location layouts, Air distribution, Main Cable Routing, Secondary cable tray). Building Layouts (Control Room Equipment layout, Earthing layout, Telecom layout). Instrument standard installation / Hookups and Cable block diagram.
Loop drawing, wiring diagram in 2D as well as in SPI.
Ensures effective communication among other engineering disciplines and project management.
Coordinate within members of discipline, other engineering disciplines within the organization or project team as well as with Clients, third parties, vendors etc.
Participate in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out
Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects
Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas.
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics and Communication.
In-depth knowledge of design tools – AutoCAD / Micro station,
