Key Responsibilities:

• The role of Senior Electrical Designer is to carry out day-to-day design activities in an assigned project.
• The Senior Designer reports functionally to the Department Manager and operationally to one or more Lead Engineers / Lead Designer.

Technical Skills:

• Assist lead designer in design activities by timely developing the drawings as per project specific standards.
• Design and mark – up drawings as appropriate (e.g. Single Line Diagrams, substation layouts, cable routing, lighting, earthing etc.) to a suitable level of detail.
• Ensure design quality, technical content and technical accuracy of electrical drawings on assigned projects.
• Check and approve electrical drawings where he / she is authorized to sign.
• Comment on other discipline documents.
• Comment on supplier documents where applicable.
• Attends plot plan and model reviews.
• Ability to provide input data for preparing prepare Bill of Materials, cable schedules and / or termination schedules.
• Expertise in SPEL, PDS, PDMS, SP3D 3D Modeling and AUTO CAD Drafting.
• Keep informed of the latest developments in electrical software and other packages relevant to the electrical design discipline.
• Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and project management.
• Participate in progress review meetings and be aware of project status, progress, delays, change notices, performance measurement, lessons learned and close-out.
• Takes personal responsibility for safety and a healthy environment on the projects.
• Should be able to add value plus/ optimization ideas.

Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of design tools – AutoCAD / Micro station.
• FPSO Design experience.
• SPEL, PDS, PDMS, E3D Modeling software experience.
• Ability to report in in English, both verbal & in writing.
• Proactive attitude.
• 10+Years’ experience in electrical design with a minimum of 5+ Years of experience in Oil & Gas engineering consultancy.
