Overall Objective of the Job

To lead the planning, design, and supervision of civil engineering works for university construction and facility improvement projects. The role involves developing initial engineering designs, proposing technical solutions for infrastructure enhancements, managing coordination with consultants, and ensuring alignment with strategic and operational plans.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare and propose initial engineering plans and designs for university construction and development projects.
• Propose preventive, corrective, and improvement solutions for university facilities and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with external consulting firms during the design and planning phases.
• Prepare technical reports on work progress and project status, and propose appropriate modifications.
• Perform any other duties related to the nature of the job as assigned.
• Implement the operational work plans of the department derived from the strategic plan.
• Carry out all assigned functional tasks while adhering to the required timelines for completion in accordance with operational plans, management directives, and set priorities.
• Supervise the implementation of university-specific projects.

• Advanced civil engineering principles and design standards.
• University facility planning and infrastructure systems.
• Building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
• Project lifecycle management and engineering documentation.

Minimum Qualification:

• Minimum of 10 years of work experience.

• Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders in both languages.
• Strong written skills for preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence.
