Develop and review detailed E&I design drawings and models using E3D, including cable trays, junction boxes, lighting, earthing, and instrument layouts.
Generate and maintain instrument index, loop diagrams, wiring schedules, and hook-up drawings using SPI (IN tools).
Coordinate with other disciplines (Mechanical, Process, Civil) to ensure design integrity and integration.
Prepare material take-offs (MTOs), cable schedules, and bill of quantities (BOQ).
Review vendor documents and incorporate vendor data into the design.
Ensure all design work complies with relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, API, ISA).
Conduct design reviews (3D model reviews, HAZOP/HAZID) and resolve interdisciplinary issues.
Mentor and guide junior designers and drafters.
Participate in site visits for surveys, as-built data collection, and installation support when required.
Support construction and commissioning teams with clarifications and field changes.
Skills/Qualification:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience in E&I design, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power sector.
Strong proficiency in SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation / IN tools).
Hands-on experience with AVEVA E3D for 3D modeling and layout.
Solid understanding of cable routing, lighting systems, earthing, and instrument installation.
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, ISA, API).
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SLDs, and instrument datasheets.
Good communication and coordination skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
